Yep. while on a boat trip to Halong Bay, my money (but not wallet or credit card), mini iPod and camera were stolen...
Feeling annoyed and upset, but have had some great girls to help me through it.. will be visiting the police tomorrow, so that will be an interesting experience..
Think I'll get a new iPod in Singapore, and maybe a new digital camera, but need something for the rest of the trip, so any suggestions for what to do about getting a new camera will be gladly welcomed...

Ness, sorry about your loss, it happened to me too in Mexico coming to Oz in 1970.
Suggest you check out duty free shops and we'll subsidize. Photos are important especially since you want to use them later. Were there many in your cameral when it was taken?
If you can't get a camera quickly, use a throw away--the shots won't be great but you'll have a record of your trip.

Unfortunately, this being Vietnam, there are no duty free shops. I'll have to buy a new digital camera in Singapore, but I needed something before then and was very worried that a disposable just wouldn't cut it.. so have bought a camera from a guy here in Hue - see my most recent post.. will tell all about it!
